Stories with Santa: Anastasia Island

Bring in your little ones to have a very special visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. He will be here sharing stories about the North Pole and answering questions from the wee ones about what life is like for Santa. Be sure to bring in your cameras, as this is sure to be a memory you won't want to forget.
Visions of Sugar Plums Holiday Storytime: Southeast

Jingle down to the library for a grand celebration of the winter holidays. This storytime for all ages will feature songs, stories, games, and some special holiday visitors. We ask that children please wear socks and close-toed shoes for this program. As part of one of our games, children will remove their shoes and leave them lined up outside the storytime amphitheatre. Don't forget to bring your camera.
New Disney DVD Family Movie Event: Anastasia Island

(PG) The whole family will enjoy seeing this new DVD Disney release film about a cropdusting plane with a fear of heights. Dusty lives his dream of competing in a famous around-the-world aerial race. Light snacks are provided by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

Family Holiday Craft Party: Ponte Vedra

The whole family is invited to a holiday-themed crafting event with Ms. Anne, the teens of the Arts in Motion Club, and our library volunteers. We'll have winter and holiday crafts for all ages, festive music, and milk and cookies for all to enjoy. All materials and refreshments are generously provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Please Note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
Illustrator Visit with Deborah Spiller: Main

Deborah Spiller, the illustrator of Snowball: The Bear Who Saved Christmas, will be visiting the Main Library for a special book reading and signing event. The book is a colorful romp in the cold tundra, where young Snowball the bear rescues Santa and his elves in time for their Christmas Eve flight.

Join us after school for a cinematic event. We'll show a new release with a G or PG rating, so it's fun for the whole family. Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie title and rating. Teen Read with Kids: Ponte Vedra

All children are invited to be read to by a teen, or practice reading to a teen, in the Children's Department - this program is presented by the teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club. Select what you'd like to hear, read from any of our books, or bring your favorites from home. Please note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program and to be a teen participating in the program, you must be a member of the Ponte Vedra High School Book Club.
Read to Rover Holiday Party: Southeast

Who let the dogs out? Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience.
Santa Paws is coming to town. Maddie, Clifford, Cookie, and Oscar are ready to celebrate the holidays with you. We will have holiday stories to read and doggie and kiddie treats to share.
Free Nemours BrightStart Screenings for Ages 3 - 5
Tuesday, December 17 from 10am - 12:30pm
Children ages 3-5 are invited to receive a free, 10-minute Early Literacy Screening at the library, courtesy of Nemours BrightStart. Registration is taken on a first-come, first serve basis by a Nemours representative. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school.
Bird Island Park Presents: Bedtime Holiday Storytime

The whole family is invited to join our favorite Bird Island Park volunteers, Ms. Suzanne and Ms. Gail, for a special bedtime storytime at which you can wear your pajamas if you wish. A reader's theatre version of The Polar Express will be performed and thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, milk and cookies will be served.

Family Game Time: Ponte Vedra

Held this month on the third Wednesday due to the Christmas holiday. The whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Knit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens: Anastasia Island
