Saturday, July 31 at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM (repeat workshop)
Elementary-aged children (ages 5 - 12) are invited to learn about gardening and growing and to make their own flower arrangements hands-on with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants! Materials are provided and each child must pre-register as space is limited. Pre-register your child by stopping by the Reference Desk of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library or by calling the library at (904) 827-6950. These workshops are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and local businesses. Thank you to the Garden Club of St. Augustine for making these workshops possible at ALL St. Johns County Public Library branches this summer!

For middle and high school youth, ages 11 - 18!
Come on out with your friends and play video games such as Super Smash Bros., Just Dance, Modnation Racers, Beatles Rock Band, and so much more our Playstation 3 (newly donated!), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360! There will be opportunities to play not-yet released games, win free gaming goodies, eat snacks with your friends, more! Games will be projected onto our big screen and two TVs for simultaneous playing. Please call the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library at 827-6950 with any questions. "Just for Babies" - 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning, September - November, at 10:15 am; for babies birth - 15 months and their caregivers, this infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby; if you have a baby and older siblings, please bring them to Family Story Time. Dates: September 7 & 21; October 5 & 19; and November 2 & 16.
Family Story Time - Every Tuesday morning, September - November, at 11:00 am; aimed at children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away! Families with a baby and older siblings are encouraged to come to Family Story Time...we hope to see you there! Dates: September 7, 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12, 19, 26; and November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.

It's like Goosebumps, only better! Everyone is invited to watch 3 episodes (30 minutes each) from this vintage '90's Nickelodeon show including The Tale of the Twisted Claw, The Tale of the Bookish Babysitter, and the Tale of the Quiet Librarian. This show is rated for ages 7 and up, and light refreshments, provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, will be served. Join us one last time this summer with your friends and family and enjoy some spooky campfire tales! Please contact Youth Services Librarian Anne at 827-6950 with any questions. See you there!

Why let the kids have all the fun this summer?? Join our Adult Summer Reading Program!! All you have to do to participate is to read lots of books, then write reviews on them. For every book review you submit, you’re entered into a raffle to win prizes at the end of summer, such as gift cards to local area book stores. The more you read, the better your chances! Winners to be announced August 5, 2010. Review forms will be available on our website or pick one up at the Ponte Vedra Library’s Reference Desk. See our display in the library for more information!! We're finishing off our summer programs with an ice cream party for FLYP participants and their families to celebrate a summer of reading. The St. Johns County Fire Fighters are also returning with the fire truck for lots of summer fun! All tweens and teens ages 11 - 18 are invited to join the Arts in Motion Club teens of Nease High School to make fun stuff with your friends! All materials are provided, no registration, and it's free! These events will be held the third Saturday of June, July, and August from 3:00 - 4:00 PM in the Small Conference Room. Snacks provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
