Ms. Suzanne, of Bird Island Park, hosts Family Storytime at 11am in the FOL Community Room. This storytime, full of stories, crafts, and music, will have you loving books and libraries.
June 3 - August 3
Who says kids have all the fun? Starting the first week in June through the first week in August adults can participate in our Adult Summer Reading Program for weekly and grand prizes at the end of the program. Just submit a brief review of any book that you read during this time period and you’ll be entered for weekly and program end raffle drawings. The more you read the more chances you have of winning! The Great Books Discussion Group is currently reading short stories from the "Seven Deadly Sins Sampler." The next "deadly sin" to be discussed will be on "Gluttony." We welcome all interested readers. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
Wednesday, June 5 from 5 - 7pm
All 13 - 18 year-olds are invited to have fun with your friends at the library and play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Learn how to access and navigate the Internet, as well as learn to do some basic searches. Participants must have a basic knowledge of computers. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required. Wednesday, June 12 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm
For rising 6th - 12th graders ONLY, at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, and featuring "Warm Bodies" (rated PG-13) based on the popular book of the same name! We will be showing "Warm Bodies" (rated PG-13), raffling off teen zombie fiction and survival guides, and for those who come dressed as zombies, raffling off a DVD of the movie! Pizza and sodas will be served, and there will be video gaming, crafting, and even zombie bowling, too. Join us and pick up your book review slips to participate in this summer's Teen Reading Program themed "Beneath the Surface"! Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for generously sponsoring this party.
Saturday, June 15 from 2-3 pm
Children ages 5 - 11 are invited for a special monthly crafting event with the teens of Nease High School's Arts in Motion Club in the PGA Media Room. All materials are provided free. Please Note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
June 17 - August 3
All children birth - 5th grade are invited to participate in FLYP which includes books and other prizes for reading and fun, weekly performances from magician Mark Alan, LB Reptile Experience, Saltwater Cowgirls, and much more. All performances, the celebratory ice cream party, and the new Scholastic book prizes are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library! June 17 - August 3
All rising 6th - 12th graders should stop by the Reference Desk after June 10 to pick up a summer reading bookmark review to participate. All reviews will be entered into a weekly raffle for 2 books from the prize cart. Three grand prize winners will each receive a gift certificate to Seymour's Bookstore. All prizes are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library!

We choose topics on current international issues for the following month for group discussion. This month's topic focuses on "Intervention." Our group welcomes new participants. The 3rd annual Ponte Vedra Book Fair introduces 10 regional authors deserving of better recognition. Each author will discuss their personal journeys, from writing to publication, and later will sign and sell their books. Sponsored by the Ponte Vedra Beach Friends of the Library.

Tweens in 4th - 7th grades are invited to come to the library and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club.

Kick off a summer of reading right with the always-fun Youth Services Librarians (Michelle and Beth) from the Hastings Branch Library, this year known as The Spud Sisters! Join us as they present an interactive program guaranteed to get the audience involved with stories, songs, and more! All of our FLYP events this summer will have a Florida flavor in honor of Viva Florida 500. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend; however, please be aware that FLYP Programs are geared toward the school-age child. FLYP events are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library!

The whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and may more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Ever look out your window and wonder what kind of snake that was lying in your yard? Gather the family, friends, and neighbors and come to the reptile show at the library! LB Reptile Experience will bring lizards, snakes, turtles and more to our library! This program helps educate children about the needs, conservation, and care of these wonderful reptiles.
