Survival Skills for Youth: Ponte Vedra Branch

Boy Scouts of Troop 288 of the Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church will be teaching youth ages 10 - 17 personal safety tips and what to do if you get lost in the woods. Attendees will also get to make survival bracelets. This year's selection for St. Johns Reads is Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand with an array of programming at all of our library branches. For tweens in 4th - 7th grade ONLY! Join our LEGO Club at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library! Come on out and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out at the library. This Club will meet once a month through December, on the second Wednesday of each month, in the Small Conference Room. No registration and it's free! Finding Your Own Art:

Series of four free painting classes taught by Rama Malone for kids grades K-8. Rama will teach kids what to paint when they are not sure where to start as well as how to mix and use colors in a positive environment. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited to 25 participants. Origami is the Japanese art of making things out of folded paper. Come learn to make animals, boxes, or even an airplane! This program is part of the St. Johns Reads program, this year featuring Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand.
