FLYP Reading Logs and Teen Summer Reading Program Bookmark Reviews are available for pickup. Both Summer Reading Programs run June 16 - August 3 with the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library providing $2000 worth of Scholastic book prizes for both programs. Thank you, Friends!
Teen Summer Reading Program: Ponte Vedra
June 17 - August 3
We encourage all rising 6th-12th graders to stop by the Reference Desk after June 10 to pick up a reading bookmark review and to participate in our Summer Reading Program. All reviews will be entered into a weekly raffle for two books from the prize cart. Three grand prize winners will each receive a gift certificate to Seymour's Bookstore. All prizes are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
Teen Rocking Summer Reading Party: Main
Monday, June 17 @ 5pm
Come explore what lies Beneath the Surface. Young adults are invited to celebrate the beginning of summer with this cave party for our 2013 Summer Reading Program. Build your very own crystal garden, try not to break a tooth on rocky cupcakes, and win prizes playing games like stalagmite toss. The program is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County.
Teen Tech Camp: Creating a Field of Dreams

Use iPod Touches and Mac hardware and software to put together an amazing creation. Instructional Technology Coordinators of SJC Rose Kebe and Jesse Gates will lead this fun-filled workshop. Teen Tech Camp is aimed at students grades 5–9.

Teen Financial Literacy Workshop (Ages 15-20)

Saturday, June 22 from 10am to 3pm
Are you starting your first job, graduating from high school, or heading off to college? Whatever the reason, every teen needs to learn how to manage money. The St. Johns River Chapter of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and SJCPLS are teaming up to offer this full day (10am - 3pm) workshop to teens age 15-20. Subjects covered will be budgeting, saving, personal investing, using credit wisely, avoiding identity theft and more. Class size is limited so call us at 827-6900 or stop by the Youth Services Desk to register. This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library and lunch will be provided.

Teen Gaming Tournament: Southeast

Do you have what it takes to beat our Southeast Gaming Grand Master? Practice your Mario Kart skills during the month of June in our Galaxy Game Room (click here for hours) and then come to the Mario Kart tournament for a chance to beat our Grand Master. Pizza and prizes will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
