Viva Florida 500 Event: Facing Discrimination in St. Augustine

Thursday, February 14 from 1 - 3 pm
Dr. Dorothy Israel, Professor Emeritus, Stony Brook University, is originally from New York and was born at the time of the Harlem Renaissance. She has lived in St. Augustine for the past 19 years. Writing has been a hobby during her retirement years and allows her to express the joys of growing up during the Harlem Renaissance, and the pains in being an African American woman. Come join us with your brown bag lunch for this special program in honor of Black History Month and Viva Florida 500. Dessert and coffee will be served. The program is open and free to the public, and sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
