Poetry Open Mic

We’re celebrating National Poetry Month with an afternoon of open mic poetry! Poets and poetry fans are invited to celebrate and share poetry. This program is hosted by Ancient City Poets. Light refreshments provided by our Friends of the Library Southeast.

 

National Library Week Event: Haiku Workshop
Saturday, April 14th
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

In honor of National Library Week AND National Poetry Month, Michael Henry Lee and Antoinette Libro present Hajimemashou (Let’s Begin). You’re invited to explore a creative writing form in a two-hour Haiku Poetry Workshop. All are welcome and encouraged to join us for an afternoon of words and creativity.

 

Poetry Creation Station
Saturday, April 21st
10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Everyone is invited to stop by our small conference room to create poetry using words cut out from magazines. Grab a glue stick and let your inner poet play for a while! All supplies provided for this National Poetry Month program. Poets of all ages are encouraged to create.
