June Kicks Off Florida Library Youth Programs (FLYP)

dig into readingSJCPLS offers a summer full of fun and educational programming as part of the Florida Library Youth Programs (FLYP). The goal of FLYP is to encourage children to become lifelong readers and library users.

This year, FLYP celebrates the theme Dig Into Reading. Please join us at any one of our branches or visit a bookmobile stop to participate in one of our exciting, free programs. All programs are listed on the branch calendars.

Short Story Contest Winner

In celebration of St. Johns Reads 2013, the Southeast Branch Library held a Murder/Mystery Short Story Contest. We are pleased to announce Ann Beeching’s entry “Tuna on Toast” as the contest winner. Read the winning story!

Summer Reading Program - For Grown-Ups!

Who says kids have all the fun? Starting the first week in June through the first week in August, adults can participate in our Adult Summer Reading Program for weekly and grand prizes at the end of the program. Just submit a brief review of any book that you read during this time period and you’ll be entered for weekly and program end raffle drawings. The more you read, the more chances you have of winning. for more information, please contact your branch library.
