Saturday, May 4 @ 1pm
It’ll be a magical, sparkly Saturday at the library. Listen to princess and mermaid stories, make your own magic wand and “fairies in a jar,” play games, and have a sweet snack. Do you like to dress up? Come as a mermaid or fairy.
Let your imagination take flight at storytime. We’ll read Friday My Radio Flyer Flew by Zachary Pullen and other stories. Join us for singing, dancing, and a craft, too.
May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.
The AARP Tax-Aide program offers FREE one-on-one counseling to help individuals prepare basic tax forms, including the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ and other standard schedules. Individuals must bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all relevant tax information with them.
Teens are welcome to come to teen lounge to play games, do homework, or just hang out with friends. Both board games and video games are available, as well as crafting materials.
