Lincolnville's complicated history and artistic heritage will be the topic of Rosamond Parrish's captivating talk that features vivid images and anecdotes from her book Lincolnville. In addition to hearing how this fascinating neighborhood was the storied center of Civil Rights Movement activity 50 years ago, listeners will learn about current and past artists who've done paintings of Lincolnville landmarks and the folk art that's now part of the local scene. At this program, Parrish will sell her books and donate a percentage of those sales to the library. For more information, email Friends president Toni Siriani at Toni825@hotmail.com or call the library at 827-6940.
